Love waterworks loves like Jesus loves. Jesus is our example as we teach, pray, and worship. We genuinely care for each child, and our prayer is that the love we give them will be the love they learn to give others. ![]() |
Fun
We provide motivating, inspirational activities. Our desire is that children have fun while taking their first steps toward God. We want them to return each week excited about their relationships with the waterworks volunteers and each other. |
Teaching
We provide support and encouragement to our volunteers, so they are better equipped to fully devote themselves to their ministry of leading children to Christ. |
In the Nursery area of waterworks we try to meet the individual needs of each child. We provide a safe environment for our newborns through 30 month olds to explore a variety of toys while interacting with our caring staff.
The 2 ½ year olds in waterworks are invited into the lesson of the day through story time. The lesson of the day is reinforced through fun activities, a craft and a snack.
The 3 year olds through kindergarteners in waterworks participate in a combined preschool large group time. The lesson is taught in a creative way, and a meaningful time of worship is developed through fun and active songs about Jesus. Each class spends time in their individual classrooms working together on creative crafts. Fun activities reinforce the Bible lesson throughout the morning. A simple snack is also provided. Children will go home with a take home sheet that talks about the lesson and provides family activities to do during the week.
The first through fifth graders in waterworks will be received by their small group teacher in their class area at the beginning of the service. They are escorted into large group where the week’s character quality, memory verse, and Bible lesson are shared. In the large group time students are given practical teaching on how to apply the character trait of the day to their everyday lives. This may include an object lesson, role-playing, games, craft, movie clip, special guest, puppet show, drama, etc. They will gain insight on how to apply the Biblical principles. Each child will take home a daily devotional that they can complete during the week.
